Does Adverse Possession or squatters right only extend to the original claimant or does it include their successors. Hypothetically; if a property was never signed over to someone and they have since claimed squatters rights can the original owner reclaim it upon their death? Thanks.

I'm not looking to leave anything to kids. I'm in a organisation which had a property that feel out of our use a number of years ago. When the present occupier passes away, can we reclaim it as we never gave it/ signed it away.

This is not a hypothetical scenario. It is a request for legal advice, which is not allowed by forum charter.
