I went there and they told me to ring the social welfare and ask for a form off them but they sent me out a maternity benefit form but I don't think I can apply for that?

Just back from the CWO and they told me that I'm not entitled to anything. They said it wasn't their problem. I'm a single parent expecting my first baby at 25 weeks pregnant. I'm recieving €50 a week in JSA and I'm really struggling to provide for the child and try to get them everything they need and really stressing out about it. Does anybody have any advice on where I could go from here

Keep your eye on the free section on adverts. People can often (daily) give away cots and buggies for free, in good condition.

I'd say after your baby is born you might be able to be reassessed regarding JSA as you have a dependent? I'm not 100% sure, or would JSA transfer over to Single Mothers Allowance?

Are you in contact at all with the father? If so he will have to give you maintenance.

I was hoping to be transferred from JSA to One Parent Family after the baby is born but not sure if I can because my current contract with Turas Nua is one year. Just really stressing atm about everything.
No not in contact with him I'm not sure if he's even in the country anymore tbh

As far as I know you bring your anti natal card or a Doctors letter into the CWO (proof of pregnancy) and ask for a maternity clothing grant the amount was €150 about 4 years ago but not too sure how much it is now

I went in today and they said I won't get anything. I honestly don't know what to do like it's such a struggle atm

Citizens information says it's a grant of 10.80!

It may have changed the past few years.

Can you contact your local Vincent de Paul?

Why is your payment 50 euros per week? Are you assessed as having means from someone else?
If so, this may be why the cwo is not helping.
