Looking for the best build possible for under €900 for a friend, he was looking at a pre-built system for the same price but it had quite disappointing specs

I'd try save some more and get a gtx 1070. Will add a little sweet Hugh honey to that set up when using vr.

The palit one is about 430 euro. prices should hopefully lower a bit in the coming weeks.

970 has just over half the VRAM and is less powerful in general. 1060 is a better idea for VR
