From this Sunday the 109 service will have a round the clock service, 7 days a week. It is also extended to the city centre on overnight services giving a night bus option to/from the city departing Busaras hourly from 12.25am. http://www.buseireann.ie/timetables/1469614961-109A.pdf

Interesting, at least it provides an option for late night bus mid week even if it goes an indirect route

That's great. Always awkward when you want to see a concert or work late and the stress of possibly missing that last bus is there.
