    Hi guys,
had a good read of the revenue website before asking this, as its still not quite clear, and wouldnt want to get into any trouble.

Travelling from Spain, to Ireland, and would like to bring some tobacco products back with me.

Now according to the revenue, im allowed to bring 800 units of cigarettes, and 1kg of smoking tobacco.

If travelling from outside EU, I have the option to bring much less, and on a split basis - half of allowed limit of tobacco, and half of allowed limit in cigarettes. On the website I read it as "200 units, OR, 250g of tobacco, OR...etc"

Can anybody clarify, would it be okay to bring back the 800 units, and 1kg tobacco if travelling from Spain back home?

    Thanks.

    Oh okay...

Well, I intend to keep all the receipts to show the VAT was paid here in Spain, and I smoke rolling tobacco when im at home, but normal cigarettes in work - as I constantly have dirty hands and cant roll as often.

    Thanks for the advice!
