Lads, does anybody know of any good welding night classes?

Looking for something in September for bodywork and general fabrication. Don't need qualifications just skills and the knowledge to buy my own kit and be able to use it. Mainly automotive, motorcycles, bodywork, exhausts etc for resto work and maybe making things up for the workshop. SS would also be nice along with aluminium but that's stretching it and not really required.

I'll look them up and see, might try Bolton St also as they did trades there but don't know if they still do.

I also think I saw some stuff on Donedeal a while back but might be dreaming.

Did you manage to find anything? I'm just back from Canada and looking for the same type of course to keep me busy working on an old camper I have stored away. Also in Dublin.

Not yet - asked a buddy who works in the welding supply business to see if he knew of anything but hasn't come back yet. I have't looked myself since I got back from hols, just haven't had the time.

Solas/FAs do evening welding courses in their training centres. I did an arc welding courses few years ago as found it good as I couldn't weld at all. They may also do tig/mig courses but I cant remember

Dit Bolton street it's actually on off the main campus in linen hall they usually will do them. Not cheap though last time I did it on the one course . Tig stainless pipe , Tig ali plate and mig vertical mild steel plate . Excellent instructors / course work will tell you it's for trades people but a lay person can go in and learn .
