    As title.

Have a few quid in Amazon account which is burning a hole in me.

The quick.charging cable that came with the phone suddenly, and unexplainably snapped on one end rendering it useless pretty much.

Have been debating on getting a wireless quick charger for a while now, so may as well take the plunge.

    Anyone any suggestions?

Alf, seen this on another bargain website. Haven't a clue about it but thought you may be interested in it. Can't post the link but just Google- Samsung Wireless Qi Charger Charging Station Compatible with Samsung Galaxy S6/S6 Edge - Black. You should find it easy enuf. 13.99stg.

No such thing as "quick charging cable". It's the brick that makes it quick charging, not the cable.
You can replace the cable and get your phone quick charging, as long as you use the same power brick.

From experience, the only fast charging wireless that works well is the Samsung one, 19 quid.

Cheers mate. I reckon this is my man so?

    Getting great reviews also.

That charger is not a fast charger. The fast charger has an inscription, FAST CHARGE, on it. If you only care for wireless charging, go for that one. If you want fast charging, look at the link I included above.

Yeah, just been reading that from the Amazon review's. What threw me off initially, was that the cable itself started to become a bit temperamental as to whether it would would quick charge or not, often resulting in me having to twist, and untwist the cable ends for it to work.

In.short, even though it's the cable the phone came with (from Samsung) I think it was poorly made in comparison to others I have in the house

Don't know where you are but ikea were selling off bedside lamps on a Base with an integrated wireless charger for €5 during the week. I have one, without the light works great. Sick I didn't go for it..

Any I've used have been crap. You go to bed with the phone sitting on the charger charging away fine expecting to wake up to a fully charged phone, only to wake up and find that the phone slipped 3mm in the night and stopped charging.

What you need is a charger that has some rubber on the top side, instead of just plastic. The IKEA charger is just plastic, and phones tend to slide off them.

However, the Samsung charger has a ring of rubber on the top face, and phones do not slide off, even though the overall area is much smaller.

Never once had an issue. Can see how it may happen .....but I have a clear conscience,so sleep soundly.:)..

I have the official Samsung one. It was the least reliable of the 3 I tried.

May I ask which phone you have, and if you use any protective case with it?

I have the official Samsung wireless charger too and find it very unreliable. I have the phone in a thin protective case but even removing it from the case won't guarantee a complete charge. I have the phone in a separate room in case anyone wants to make jibes about clear conscience etc.

    Went to IKEA.

Turns out its the phone covers that enable wireless charging that are a fiver. :o

    Ah well.

At least I got a cup of coffee, and a slice of cake out of my trip. :)

The Galaxy S6. I bought it with the "Starter Kit" Vodafone were selling off cheap which included the official Samsung case for the phone. I initially used the phone with the case, but found the charging unreliable so removed it, but found it still unreliable after removing. I'd have one on my desk in work where it'd only be used during the day to top up, but I wouldn't rely on it to give a full nightly charge.

    Very sorry to hear that.
I have the S6 in a Symmetry OtterBox case. Sits absolutely fine on the Samsung charger, but any bump to the table will make it slide off the IKEA charger. I've also tried some cheap chargers from Aliexpress, and only one of them can charge it through the case. That one I'm using in the car.

No. The table lamps with the wireless charging yokie were marked down to a fiver;I even questioned one of the staff and she confirmed this.

They must be all gone now mate, or I missed the offer.

I asked several staff today. There was lots of lamps/wireless chargers, but they were priced at €50.
