    Hi

    I'm climbing Carrauntoohil on Monday, can anyone recommend somewhere nearby for a tent and car which is also close to a pub?

    Flesk on Muckross Road (just past Gleneagles) has a pub just beside it. Not sure which side to access Carrauntoohill.

    Fossa campsite is about a 25 minute cycle from cronans yard. The site is less than 10 minutes from Killarney. There is a hotel about 5 minutes walk that do lovely food.

    I think there might be a tenting campsite at Cronin's yard, not sure about the pub though.

    Flesk is a bit around Killarney, but no issue in a car, and is walking distance to Killarney (no bother if you're up to Carrauntoohil anyway).

    Fossa is a nice site, and has a couple of drinking options - which we didn't get to sample, but the Nugget was talked up by a couple of taxi drivers when we got cabs out of town.
