Recently released convicted (guilty plea) rapist housed by North Tipperary CoCo in the Thurles area yesterday (media i'm open to PM's for queries)

HOW THE **** CAN YOU HOUSE SOMEONE LIKE THAT IN AN ESTATE FULL OF GIRLS THE AGE HIS VICTIM WAS AND WHATEVER HAPPENED TO GARDA VETTING? The vetting unit is just down the road ffs.

Will TippCoCo take responsibility if this man assaults another person in the estate? What steps will Tipperary County Council take to ensure the residents in the estate can feel secure and safe in their homes (most are former/private houses I understand)

I don't know really: I guess I'd have to know more about the case before proffering my own half baked view on the matter.

Better they know where he is. Everyone is going to say, not in my backyard.

Not being flippant here but what's the alternative? Surely a homeless rapist who they can't keep their eyes on is more dangerous than someone they can keep tabs on. I mean, now that's he out of prison, what are they meant to do with him? There aren't too many council houses in secluded areas.....

Protecting the identity of the daughter he suddenly decided to acknowledge after 17 years. He wrote to her whilst in prison and she doesn't want anything to do with him and expressed this to the council. She's only 5 metres away from the house he got

I'm going to suggest that this is way to personal for boards, even if your the girl/girls mother/welfare officer for the world

and is more to do with a personal opinion..

my abuser was given the freedom of the council, guess what council said to me?
    you can't change history..

get in touch with prisoner support groups and see if they can support,if the girl is 17 then i hope you can help and support her by giving as much info that will 'Enable" her to overcome and heal..

have a word with barnados/health board..try to do it before she turns 18

You're hardly protecting anyone's identity if all it takes is a PM to get more details. Locking this, you can PM myself or one of the AH mods if you feel it should be opened.

    Thanks
