Hi. i have fairly old mira elite 2 (at least 10-11 years old possibly much more).
Works fine but i'm finding it difficult to adjust right temp. In the past by moving both dials i could usually get some sort of compromise but it is worst now.
Lets say i'm at 9 o'lock (1/4 from coldest) and turning it up- nothing happens for some time (nearly 1/5 of turn) till it gets to the point that slight touch turns too cold to too hot and nothing in between. I would imagine it may be thermostat. How easy is it to fix taking i have diy'er in me and i'm not afraid of electricity? However i'm afraid electricity when it comes close to water so not sure if it is even safe to open it without doing something with water supply.

The mira doesn't have a thermostat. There is a restriction of the water flowing through the shower. Try cleaning the filter. Run it without the shower head. If temperature is ok without shower head then it's either a spurious head or head needs cleaning. If you still have the problem after all that then it is the element caked in limescale. If this is the case then it's time to replace the shower
