    Hi all

I'm looking to engage someone for some tax structuring advice on an Airbnb business.

The advice I need includes asset ownership advice, corporation tax advice, company residency advice with an offshore element, payroll advice and CGT advice along with other general advice.

Sounds like a lot but it will all be discreet points.

Can anyone recommend an adviser? Do I need a tax consultant? Do they give formal opinions? And I am an individual at the moment so obviosuly dont have the cash to engage any of the Big 4 or the larger firms.

    Thanks

You need to go to a small firm, try your local area. Type accountant and tax advisor and your area into google and you will get a few people to contact.

Get e-mail addresses from the website and send out a brief e-mail explaining what you are looking for and asking them to quote you for an initial consultation and an ongoing service.

I'm based in London so it's a bit awkward, I can't just drop in to a small local firm (I'm looking for Irish advice I should say). I have tried google but nothing is jumping out at me as overly relevant, especially with the offshore advice I'll need.

This is the company my parents use for their rental accouts - ASM Accountants

    They have offices in
    • Belfast
    • Dundalk
    • Dungannon
    • Magherafelt
    • Newry

I would recommend them as there very efficient. My folks usually get accounts a day or 2 after handing over the figures.

Thanks, I'll give them a call.

Happy if anyone else has other recommendations. It seems harder to find than you'd imagine! Just to get some business structuring advice!

Don't call it an AirBnB business. Can it a BnB, which happens to get a proportion of it's bookings from on-line booking systems. AirBnB doesn't have to be the only site you use, especially if you really are running it as a business.

Does it make any difference what I call it?

Personally I'd stick with your description, it gives a much clearer picture of the type of business.

I'm quite familiar with these structures. I've sent you a PM.
