First time cider making

    It looks like I will have a fair excess of cooking/dessert apples ( 10 trees worth) and was thinking of turning them into cider or apple juice. I am a complete newbie to this so what are the steps I would need to do to do this. Also have no equipment to date but willing to invest.

    Any tips/direction greatly appreciated

    I have looked into this myself but it really seems like you need a serious press in order to extract any reasonable amount of juice. Plenty of DIY jobs on Youtube to check out.
