I'm sure there is plenty here would would like to avail of this. It's free but tickets must be booked.

Looks like a good day out.
One of the leading figures of the Easter Rising, Roger Casement’s path from servant of the Crown to Irish nationalist and, ultimately, to the gallows in Pentonville Prison where he was hanged for treason on the 3rd of August 1916, remains one of the most fascinating revolutionary journeys in our recent history.
On Wednesday 3rd August, Ireland 2016, Irish Aid and the Defence Forces will mark the international contribution of Casement as a humanitarian by hosting a free open day for families and the general public at Casement Aerodrome in Baldonnel, Dublin 22.

No air display nothing in schedule for the day either. All military types bar EC135 on static display behind metal fences. Green army there in numbers and with equipment. Museum wide open and well worth a visit.

Good day out and thanks to the DF for the day. Well organised bar the weather that was a fail by the boys in command tut tut having it in August what were they thinking (joke by the way).

One AW139 flew past and landed at approx 11:15/20 as we arrived! An excellent day, a great re-enactment of Casments speech from the dock.

Great hands on display from all areas of the defence forces and super friendly to all questions no matter how daft or technical.

Museum was a nice added bonus! Sorry about the pics not a photographer type

    Pics were great!

Apart from the airshows in the 80s, I had the pleasure of visiting 3 years ago via my job and getting some great access. Fabulous place that I first saw in the film, The Blue Max.
