    so ,

drive a 2007 petrol octavia but may be getting a job with a 140km round trip.

may need to change motors, something reliable and economical.
To a diesel, smaller than an octavia and an automatic would be handy. it will be second hand, more than likely from the UK.

so - any rec's on what that car would be ?

we have a family car - which we will be changing too, so mine can be small enough.

    thx

    What's the budget?

Btw a small car isn't really ideal for a long daily commute. You'd be better off going for a larger car.

No real budget - probably around the 15k mark.

was looking at the Hy i30 - too small for that type of daily commute ?

That's your decision to make but I would rather something like a Passat 2.0TDI DSG for a 140km daily round trip.

Volvo S80. Plenty of toys and comfort

Or a skoda superb. Same reasons as above.
