    So I had the ad in the paper on Weds 6th July and application lodged on 20 July and they sent me the entire thing back today as it was too late.
    I'm guessing within 14 days means I should have had the application in on the Tuesday?

    Pretty much!

    6th = Day 1

    19th = Day 14

    Yep a day late. I find it best to get application lodged on first or second day after paper is published. Gives abit of time in case the application is invalid for some reason.
