    What breed is she??

Continental breed would come to heat much earlier than say Angus.

It's variable with breed and feeding tbh. I find stronger fed animals will come into heat quicker than ones on grass only but you'll always get the odd strange ones that will come in heat early regardless. Average would be maybe 13 months but had three first timers in heat together this year at 14, 13 & 12 months, the middle aged one having been strongly fed all winter. So it's not an exact science!

Anything with BB breeding will also come into heat quite young, have seen them cycling from 7 months here before.

I thought it the other way around with traditional breeds coming before continental breeds.

Yeah, I think this way too.
But I see suckler heifers here still om the coming bulling. Maybe around 6 mths of age.
