Neighbour's septic tank on site

Would there be a problem with a planning application on a 3/4 acre site if the neighbour's septic tank was just inside the boundary?

The neighbour's septic tank will have a percolation area which could very well be in your garden also. You will need to put your own septic tank and percolation area somewhere and there will need to be separation between your's and the neighbour's. You may also need to sink a well and that will also need to away from both septic tanks. You would find it very difficult to find the space for two sewerage systems on 3/4 acre.

There may also be issues with right of way if the neighbour needs to empty the tank or if there are issues with the underground pipework.

Have a similar issue. Putting an application together for someone and just found out their mothers septic tank is within the new site. The site is big enough to take it, I was just wondering if there are any planning / legal issues bar a ROW for access
