I know this is a long shot but I'm trying to track down what I think is an episode of Noel Edmonds Saturday Roadshow or Noel Edmonds House Party which aired somewhere between 1990 to 1992. I have a 10 min audio recording from a television with a show which I'm nearly certain is Noel Edmonds as host.

The reason I'm trying to find this is my family found an old tape recorder and It turns out that I used it when I was a kid to record the tv. Finding the episode will give me the date that I recorded this audio.

Here's a link to the recording:

The show with Noel Edmonds in it starts at around the 50 second mark.

Any help finding this or suggestions on how to track it down would be much appreciated.

On hearing that it sounds more like a late 80s show? Name escapes me but if you get the correct show that episode seems to be the first of the season so that will nail it down a bit

Definitely doesn't sound like house party. Not much of the intro to go on but if you compare it to the episodes of Roadshow on YouTube they don't sound the same. Any chance it was one of his Christmas specials?

    I think its 22 October 1994

    1) Noel talks about Allan Lamb getting a gotcha

    Here's the listing:
    Noel's House Party

    BBC One London, 22 October 1994 19.10
Noel Edmonds returns with the biggest live party on television. His special guest is
    Roger Moore , and cricketer
Allan Lamb receives a fantastic Gotcha.

    and to confirm it:

2)I think there is a trailer for this programme in the middle which was broadcast on 23 October 1994

The main thing leading me to believe it's Noel's house party is the features "gotcha" and "number cruncher". It's hard to hear but I think the host mentions these during the recording.

We're there bands on the show? Maybe I just changed over midway through the show and the music we hear is a band finishing up.

During the first few words Noel speaks he does mention the audience being 'in the house.' That would make it Noel's House Party surely?

No worries man, glad to be able to help

I like your recording style, brought back memories of when I was a kid doing my own tape recorder radio shows :)

There's the Allan Lamb bit, although I don't think it was on your recording

That's brilliant that you found it.
I have to ask though, you don't have to answer, why do you want the exact date so much?

I have about 40 minutes of recordings where various family members can be heard talking I the background. The date allows me to figure out what age everyone was on the recording. So really just curiosity.

I had thought it was from about 1991 or 1992. So Oct 1994 was a bit of a surprise.
