Roof Membrane

    Hi,
Our house was built circa 1929 and there is no membrane beneath the tiles.
While the floor of the attic is insulated and floored the amount of dust from the pointing between rows of tiles makes it almost unusable.
We were thinking of tacking a membrane across the joists to restrict the amount of dust but having read a number of posts I am unsure if this is advisable with regard to ventilation.
    Any advice greatly appreciated.

Welcome back, second post after 8 years: LOL
How did the doors work out?
    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=56964092

Anyway, how is the roof space ventilated:
Are there vents in the eaves on both sides?
Describe the roof s bit more
Is it a hip roof or have you gables at each end?

    Whats the roof truss like
    see link and pick one:

Hi - projects are well spaced out alright :-)

the roof is quite unusual - a lot of angles.
    Eaves are ventilated,
There is a wall between us and the neighbours but otherwise no gable.

Don't see a truss on the link that looks like what we have!!
