4K PC build Ideas?

Hey guys, recently sold off my old PC to help fund this build, Hoping to pick up a HTC Vive sometime soon so hoping to have this new build VR Capable.

1. What is your budget? Around 2000 for the PC itself with a budget of 1000 for the monitor if possible. will stretch a little bit if required.

2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? Mainly gaming (including VR)
3. Do you need a copy of Windows? Nope.

4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? Nvidia Titan X

5. Do you need a monitor? Yes, I'm fairly unsure on the latest monitor tech.


6. Do you need any of these peripherals? No

7. Are you willing to try overclocking? At some point in the future yes

8. How can you pay? Paypal, Bank Transfare, whatever is required.

9. When are you purchasing? around 4 weeks from now.

Oh, you already have a Titan X. Then this is going to come in well under 1k.

Cooling: Corsair H100i v2

Monitor: I'd actually advise against 4k. There are better screens at the 1440p range and you can just supersample to get even better quality (render at 4k, displayed on 1440p to achieve better results than what anti-aliasing attempts to).

With the budget you have I would be advising getting a GPU at the moment. With a 1080ti and a new Titan on the way I would be waiting to see benchmarks for them and keep using the Titan X until then, especially if you are looking at gaming at 4K

I don't think the value add of a new Titan or 1080TI will be enough to warrant the cost, but that is up to him.

Edit: Also! I completely missed Hard drives!

SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 500GB (for system + select games) (add 2 if wanted)
HDD: 1TB Western Digital Blue (add as many as needed for bulk storage)
