Recommendation for a smart TV just for streaming

    Hi,

I have not owned a tv in my life before (live a very sheltered one) and I want to get around a 40" smart TV.
I will not be getting Sky or Virgin media, I will be using it solely for apps like Netflix and for playing movies from my macbook.
As I am a total newbie to tvs I would love some advice on a good one to get around the 400 - 550 mark.
I was also wondering if taking a spin up north would be worth it for the same tv for less if anyone has done so.

    Thanks!

Not sure what to recommend but if you get a monitor without a TV tuner you will not be legally obliged to get a TV license so you may want to look at that option if you don't want hassle from An Post.
