Septic Tank - Green(er) grass over percolation area

    Is it a problem if the grass over the percolation is noticeably greener than the rest of the lawn?

    We have a problematic system installed in a new build and I have been doing a bit research online looking for answers. One issue that has come up is that its a sign that the waste water isn't draining properly if the grass is greener than the rest of the lawn.

    Has anyone any experience of this?
    My lawn is definitely healthier around the percolation area.

    The percolation drains trickle the nutrient rich sewage effluent to the sub soils. Grasses growing well is a by product of these systems.
    Indeed the grass is eating up nutrients that would otherwise be entering the ground water.

    Thanks for your reply, but does it mean the percolation area isn't working properly. We had percolation tests done before construction and there were no problems so with the addition of stones etc to aid percolation should everything not get drained away?
