    Hi all,
I'm interested in getting opinions on these vans as day vans, say a 1.9D SWB, preferably with a bus type layout for carrying kids/bikes,etc

    regards

    Lots of people have them.

There is a passenger version which starts life at 50-60k. There is a version then which has one row of seats in the middle and a van in the back.

I'd imagine tax would be the biggest issue around these things. I'd say both are pretty hefty for a private motorist.

Other than that, if you like that sort of driving position, I'd say they are very, very practical, if thirsty.

I have a 2.5d swb and I think a 1.9d is too small for the weight and size of the van. VW are expensive on parts.
A 1.9 vito is good bang for buck.
