    Hi,

I have a site which I have planning permission to build my house. However, while the construction is underway I wanted to put a log cabin on the site and like there for the duration of the build. Do you think I need separate planning permission for this if it has been granted for the house already?

Yes you need planning for the habitable structure.
You could try lodge a temporary planning if it's possible?

the log cabin may need to meet current building regulations so that alone would rule it out.
