Some terrestrial channels missing

Hi. I've an ariva150 combi box. About a week ago I lost some of the terrestrial channels. Rte 1, rte+1, rte junior are all fine, but the rest of the irish channels have either no picture or frozen picture, and the sound is choppy.

I've tried a terrestrial rescan, no improvement, and when I check signal strength its up in the 80% range

Anybody got any ideas? Is there something simple I'm missing.

    Thanks in advance folks

Looks like you have a signal problem that's particularly affecting multiplex 1.

The fact it's been ongoing for a few days would suggest the problem is at your own end: what kind of aerial setup do you have?

I had a kit installed about 2 years ago. Ariel and dish outside, connected by diplexer, split again at the TV point, fairly standard setup I think. Is there other info you need? Big fix or small issue?

If it's been trouble-free for 2 years, & just suddenly started acting up, then there might be some obvious fault like damage to the aerial or cable, or even just an obstruction placed in the aerial's line-of-sight.

I assume the satellite channels are still working the same as usual?

Satellite channels are fine. New houses being built roughly in line of sight, but would this not affect all terrestrial channels

Wouldn't necessarily affect both sets of channels equally, & even if it did, it's possible other factors could have given one multiplex a headstart over the other, where signal level or quality is concerned.

Did you check the aerial, cables, connections, particularly for signs of water ingress?

Do you have anything like a mobile phone plugged into the use on the tv ?

Occasionally I get picture breakups and signal loss on terrestrial channels when I plug a phone into the tv to charge.

This has EXACTLY happened to me in the last month too! All same channels you list are affected for me. I have an Ariva 252 box. Nothing hardware has changed here... OP are you based in Kildare?
