Seeing as 32bit apps always seem to work on a 64bit system I just download them incase of compatibility issues. What are the advantages to 64bit versions anyway when there is no chance of the app needing that amount of ram? Thanks.

A program using the 64bit instructions and registers can move data twice as fast, irrespective of whether it needs huge amounts of RAM
