    Compared to €800 or so booking direct on Etihad.

    Madness as it's actually a comfortable airline too with legroom (unlike Turkish airlines)

    Turkish Airlines is very comfortable

    Apparently this is back again (for the €386 flights in 2017)...

    Checked it there alright...

    Dublin -> KL (8 Mar)
    KL - Jakarta (15 Mar)
    Jakarta -> Dublin (22 Mar)

    386 eurobucks

    .

    After seeing this on secret flying and finally getting my ass in gear I just booked:

    Dublin -> KL (25 Apr)
    KL - Jakarta (3 May)
    Jakarta -> Dublin (25 May)

    €386

    :)

    Said Id spend 3 weeks in Indonesia as most people prefer it to Malaysia and its cheaper.

    Lucky I got it as there was only 4 of 5 tickets left on ebookers, presumably from Abu Dabai to Kuala Lumpur.

    and for less than €100 you could fly to Lombok or Bali and head for the Gili islands.

    Half tempted myself !!

    Thats my plan! I'm trying to decide now whether to fly straight to Bali when I arrive in Indonesia and spend the whole 3 weeks there.

    spent 3 weeks in Bali/Gili islands 3 years ago. half the time in each. Gili islands is much nicer , and very laid back. no motorized vehicles on the island, just bicycles and donkeys/horses. Would love to head back there !!
