    Gonna head up to this at the weekend, something magical about the place.

    It's a pity it's not still matchplay from start to finish. I think it lost a little bit of magic moving away from that and being just like every other championship.

    Won't get down there myself this year :(

    Think it is better in this format, used to be a lot of no shows for the 1st round over the years. Strokes followed by Match play I like.

    The selection of the Home Internationals after has also helped a stronger field.

    Some serious showing from arther pierse. Showing age is just a number when it comes to golf.

    Man is 65 odd and beat Irish international Galbraith today to advance to last 16.

    From watching all the golf Wednesday my pick from now on would be Alex Gleeson if he can keep his attitude in check. Was shouting and giving out a load even when he was 3 under!!!!!

    Was in Lahinch yesterday and got to see the last few holes of the final.
    Purcell was impressive and the course looked fantastic.
