Lads I'm starving, have a spare few quid, not arsed cooking, what takeaway do you suggest? Too many options to choose from, need a bit of perspective

If you want dirty, get an Indian. Good and spicy. Get onion bhajis and Naan as well. And some beer.

Really gone off chippers and chinese the last few years. Rather make an effort and cook something at home than eat that crap but I never get sick of a nice pizza... with garlic and herb dip for the crust... nomage.

Curry cheese chips OP. I had them yesterday and they're divine! Thick hot curry with grated cheese. :D

Chicken vindaloo, onion bhajis, pilau rice with a cheese and chili naan.

Stick a bog roll in the fridge for later.

Maybe for what it is but it is sure filling. You'd pay the guts of 8 Euros for a burger and garlic cheese fries in a chipper and usually Chinese and Indian are more expensive plus the leftovers taste rank the next day. Order a large pizza and stick what you don't eat in the fridge and have the next day.. nothing as tasty as leftover pizza.. apart from fresh pizza but still... mmmm *drool*

    Salt & Chilli Spice Bag/Box.

Different depending on where you get it (may also be called Munch Bag/Box), but generally chips and a bunch of other fried stuff (chicken pieces, chicken balls, spring rolls, prawns, sometimes some ribs too) fried in salt & chilli, with curry sauce on the side for d'dipping.

Just make sure to confirm the size and price. Mate ordered one (usually €9) but ended up getting a pizza box full of stuff for €20 because they did small ones in a bag, large ones in a box.

I know which I'd rather read.

I don't have takeaways that often but you can't beat a pile of chicken pakora and basmati rice from the Indian.

For sheer gluttony nothing beats a Dominoes with the following:

BBQ Base with Double Decadence layer
    Pork Meatballs
    Shredded Beef
    Double Garlic Butter
Extra Large Garlic and Herb Dip

There's a reason I've started cycling to work again...

You better not leave us all in the lurch here. Let us know every detail of the meal. I want ratings out of ten for each part of it and I wanna know what drink you got. Was it an online order or by phone? Was the delivery guy prompt. Did he ring the doorbell or give a good purposeful yet charismatic knock? Did you tip? If so, how much? Things of that nature. I feel emotionally invested in this saga now and need my satisfaction from it.

    Fattily Yours,

    Omackeral.

12 minutes is when the mix of emotions start to kick in. The initial excitement starting to build, beginning to salivate at the thoughts of the garlic and cheese dancing a tango on your palette. Then the doubt seeps in a little. ''Ok, they're probably just leaving the takeaway now...'' . Bargaining comes next, that 2 euro tip starts to diminish to 1.50 in your head. Next, you become hangry i.e hungry and angry. You're gonna leave a bad review and smash his fuc.... Food's here!!! All is forgiven, here's a fiver my good man okbyenomnomnomnom

My local chipper do a nice one and are on justeat. All items are freshly cooked rather than reheated like most places these days.no beans or toast though....which is a good thing imo

    Merry Christmas.

Haven't used it myself but lots on their service do full Irish so shouldn't be too much hassle.

The old Wicked Cafe on Meath St used to deliver full Irish Breakfast in the Dublin 8 and surrounding areas, which I took advantage of on more than a few occasions.

So I've never eaten so fast in my life, order came at about quarter past, guy drove a car emblazoned with the chippers logo, odd! Garlic cheese chips were ridiculously cheesy, excellent, enough sauce that the chips below were nicely covered. Chicken was moderately spicy and nice and juicy, battered sausage was a bit meh but overall epic meal throughly enjoyed!!! Now for a few episodes of the Simpsons while I ponder why I ate so much so fast!
