Tax Question: Two Jobs

I didn't know what to call this so I'll give a brief intro to my situation.

I've been working since November last year - no problems there. However, I got a second temp job, tutoring from February to April this year, whilst still working my first job. I got taxed up to 200e on PAYE when I wasn't supposed to. I am now filling out forms to get the tax back but at the bottom of the form it says that I have to declare I am unemployed.

Does this mean by the job I'm claiming tax for? Or from all jobs?

If so, how do I claim tax from this place whilst I'm working this other job?

    Thanks.

Why are you expecting to get PAYE back from the second job? Did you split your tax credits?

It was part-time, temporary. I was told I could by that employer. I didn't do anything with my tax credits.

You need to get a P45 from the second employer, to show you've left that job.
You will get any overpayment back. Think of it as enforced saving.

If you are still working in the first job you will have to wait until the end of this tax year to get a refund of any tax you overpaid this year

In that case you either a: have no tax to get back because you will be paying higher rate on the lot; or b: will have to wait until the end of the year.

As before, you don't claim your tax back, get your P45, either revenue will reassess your credits adn you will get a bit back over the rest of the year or you will get it back with your P21. If you reached the higher tax bracket though you won't get anything back.
