With a bit of time on my hands I'm delving back into my ancestry. Doing a search on www.irishgenealogy.ie (has it been updated recently?) I found details of what appears to be my great-grandparents' wedding (his name matches, her first name sort of matches - Kate/Catherine - and the location matches).

I presumed that ordering the marriage cert, it may have more details. However, at http://lifeevents.hse.ie/marriage_cert.aspx, it says only certs after 1903 can be ordered. Any advice?

All certs can be obtained from the GRO office - €4 for a photocopy. You can collect a printed version from the GRO Office in Werburgh Street, or order from the Roscommon office see https://www.welfare.ie/en/Pages/GRO_Research.aspx

If going to the office personally the only way to get a pre-1903 document then? I notice the above page has a "Apply for certificates online" link, which only brings me back to my original link.

If your not based in Dublin this is probably the easiest way to order a photocopy of a cert. http://www.irishgenealogy.ie/images/content/GRO_Documents/Form_for_DAHG_site.pdf
