Hi I tryed connecting my iPod to my 2007 Kia ceed via the USB port but for some reason the car stereo is not recognising the iPod.. Any explanation for this and solution? Thanks

If it's an ipod with bluetooth, then you can connect it with a cheap bluetooth adaptor.

Kia ceed head unit does not control the ipod, you cannot connect your ipod using a regular ipod cable and control it via the head unit or play music directly from the ipod's hard drive. You need to use the cable as stated earlier this uses the usb power to power the ipod, and line out from the ipod dock connection to connect to the aux jack to out put the audio.

Pretty sure the Kia controls the iPod, i30 has the same setup.
You need a specific cable alright though.

That's an expensive cable :eek:

If the ipod has bluetooth, get yourself one of these. This is the one I bought over 2 years ago, still working fine with various iphones, and 28 euro cheaper.
