... any personal experiences of the Bosh KAN62V41GB, or alternate recommendations?

We've battered away for 8 years with a Samsung RSH1 DTMH, which has started dribbling on the floor like a geriatric labrabor. And I'm wondering whether after umpteem de-frosts and parts replacements it needs to be put to sleep for once and for all.

IMHO this samsung model was a bit of lemon from birth (I was only a few serial numbers and years away from getting a free upgrade), now worried about trading one lemon for another.

Doing a bit of research and both Samsung and Bosch both have cracking models and utter dogs, according to which.co.uk (which also highlighted the above Bosch as best of current breed).

I've had a regular samsung frostfree fridge freezer almost 2 years and it's great.

Same with us - not a bother at the start, but a few years later not so good.

Trying to reconcile spend x, replace after y years vs spend x + z and replace after w years, hoping w > y to make it worth it.
