    Hi guys,

I had builders doing work on the house over the last few weeks and I think the satellite dish may have been moved. I am using a wetek play receiver and I have doing a service scan and it is only finding approx. 200 channels when there should be 900 plus. The channels it does show are flickering. Is there a way to check? I seek here is a sat finder on the box but I done know what levels the snr & agc should be at. Now the snr goes between 3-4 db(20%) and the agc shows at 68%. The BER is 0.

You should be getting close to 100% SNR on the likes of ITv and BBC m8

If you are confident enough to do it yourself then it is an easy job.

If you can safely reach the dish then go for it. Mark the brackets first so you know where you started just in case you mess up. You only need to move it by a fraction (1~2 mm) to make a big difference. Try to get the maximum readings on the box meter. Beware there is sometimes a delay of a few seconds between any change you make and it showing up onscreen.

Possibly, or maybe the building work has partly obscured the dish line-of-sight in some way?
