Yep I did it with my Nexus 5 and a screen I got on ebay. No problems afterwards and I downloaded a few tester apps to check everything (just to be extra sure) and it was fine.

Cheers. IGot a nexus 7 but I was reading online and was told it won't be as be as sensitive afterwards
