I passed P2 with 64 - it was my first paper at this level, so it's a relief to have the 'jump' to professional level done. Aiming for P1 in September, through self-study, and for P3 in December through a class (probably DBS, with Gary Bernie, as I did the last two papers there - but am open to suggestions, as I haven't seen any feedback on his class).

How did everyone else fare this morning?

Passed P1 with 54, self study which was tough enough going, there's a lot to get through! How'd you study for P2?

Did you do it with Gerry Fahy by any chance?

I'm doing P1 (distance learning) right now, the syllabus seems smaller than F8 tbh.

Well done! I did P2 through classes in DBS, they were a great help. I'm doing P1 through self study for the September sitting (read: I've been carrying the text book around in my bag for the past four weeks, and I have a lovely, ignored, study schedule) - how much time did you give preparation for the paper?

I got 78 in p2. I used the gf method. Was v surprised with my mark. It was a tough exam. I also sat p1 and got 83 on that I did it with Terry in DBS. Going to do p7 next purely because Terry teaches it in DBS. I know he can get me through it.

78 in a paper as tough as p2 will probably qualify you for a prize, no? :)

Well done! That's a great mark. I'll bear Terry in mind if I decide to go ahead with P7 (I haven't decided which ones to do yet). Have you many left after P7?

Ill probably do p6 next, again purely because Julie got me through f6 easy enough. I have p3 left to sit also. Think ill leave that till last.

Great result. What is the gf method?

Gerry Fahy, DBS. I found p2 very tough. No practical accounting experience at all. Glad it's done and out of the way. The thoughts of having to resit it were enough for me to make sure I didn't.
