    Hi,
I was away on business for 5 days and had my sheep and lambs on hill,
when I returned I had 5 dead lambs 4 were lying in same area. I had treated all stock with click, spot on, heptvac p, and dosed with parafend for worms within last fortnight. I notice a couple of lambs now also a bit lethargic has anyone any idea what my problem might be. Sorry for being so long winded. Thanks

Sorry to hear that. Terrible situation. Was the field sprayed for weeds or anything by any chance?

Sorry to hear Mel - 1 is bad enough, not to mind 5 of em :(

Could they have eaten something poisonous? I don't even know what might kill em, but it sounds very odd to have 4 close like that.
There wasn't any old batteries or anything like that they could have got at?

Also - as for the overkill post, don't think so. What you have em sounds ok. Did you use the spot-on for ticks?

Hope the lethargic ones come good.

Why haven't you done a post mortem, could be anything, heptavac p doesn't cover all diseases or it could be lightening.
Plenty of lightening around here lately

Spot-on and clik and heptavac all at the same time? That is a lot of strong chemicals for a lamb to be processing all at once. I know of a hogget ram dying after being treated for loads of stuff at once. Although a neighbour had the exact same symptoms you had last year from using just a worm dose (cant remember which one) - lambs dying and others groggy. It would be worthwhile getting them checked. There could be a bad batch of some dose or other floating around out there.

I took latest fatality to vet for post mortem. Turns out was lung worm must have been a bad batch of dose. Thanks for ur replies

Report it to the company - you are down the price of 5 lambs, plus your animals aren't properly dosed...
