Newbie Bike Suggestions

    Hi all,

Just passed my theory this week and doing the IBT next week.

    I'm looking at getting a 250 on a €4k budget.
I know I can't do any test on it. I'll rent an instructors bike for that.

I'll mostly be using the bike for a 10km commute to/from work and the odd spin around at the weekend.

I'm looking at the CBR250R, Ninja250 and anything else that gets suggested..

Should I look out for something in particular / stay away from anything?

Also how old should I set my cut off, I'm thinking 2008?

    Thanks in advance

Seriously if you are gonna commute you need something bigger then a 250cc\300cc you will out grow it in a month or two...plus the re-sale value on a 250cc is nowt now with the 300cc the defacto for the small bike.
