Rebuilding a Work Shed - do i need Planning Permission?

I own a 2 Story Corrugated Metal Garage/Shed down a back lane way in Roscommon.

It's still standing and in use. But it looks bad and dilapidated (rusty and leaks water).

Planning a full rebuild: new foundations and erect one of those lifetime guarantee steel sheds you see around the country.

All in all it will look pretty much the same. Built on the same floor area etc...

The only change difference will be the height: the upper floor isn't a uniform height. The roof is slanted. Lowers right to left. 3ft on the left, 8ft on the right.

If i was to change it to a uniform 8ft, do you think i need Planning Permission?

    Advice greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.
