Disappointing to see no nominations for Outlander. At the very least I expected an acting nod for Caitriona Balfe, imo she has been outstanding this year.

I know it was aired in one evening in the US, but still seems a bit bizarre.

Surprised Grace and Frankie wasn't nominated for Comedy Series.

Peter Dinkalage nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor - thought been his most unspectacular season in Game of Thrones to date
Liam Cunningham, Iwan Rheon and Jonathan Pryce all much more deserving IMO

And also snubbing Eva Green, Rachel Bloom and Gina Rodriguez, just disgraceful

I don't think there will be any uproar like at the Oscars for being so white with this year's Emmys

Outstanding Comedy series is going to be a tough one this year! So many good shows (except Mod Fam which has really declined sharply this season and Black-ish which I just don't find even mildly amusing).

Modern family being nominated is surely a running gag as this stage. Funnier than anything on the show in the last four years anyway.

I thought Laurence Fishburne would be Black-ish best shot of a nomination

Very happy for Tatiana Maslany and Rami Malek.

All reports say that it was a great Emmys to watch.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,564 ✭✭✭Sudden Valley

Happy that Veep won but in most categories I probably only watch one or two of the shows so hard to judge who was most deserving to win. When people used to buy physical dvds I think slapping a multiple-Emmy winner sticker on the box set was a commercial boon but now I'm sure net flix even mentions it.

The cast of The People v OJ Simpson all well deserved winners.

The cast of The People v OJ Simpson all well deserved winners.

Disagree, it was awful. I couldn't even finish the last 2 episodes and just read the book instead. The 2 things I remember most is how badly they cast OJ and the shows obsession with the Kardashians, oh yeah and Ross from friends constantly saying 'Juice' all the time. It's not a patch on the masterpiece that was Fargo.

    Delighted for Louie Anderson.

I think you're in the minority there, it was superb.

    For the Emmys.

Same guy that did Katy Perrys halftime show at Superbowl 49

There was certainly no lack of diversity in the Emmys anyway. Maybe it's just me but I thought it was very conspicuous.

Not saying it's a bad thing, it was long enough the other way. Just a bit obvious maybe?
