Short Honeymoon Suggestions

Just wondering if anyone could make some suggestions for warm honeymoon destinations in September? We want somewhere with pretty much guaranteed Summer weather and sun with beaches. We'd prefer somewhere quiet (long past the party days) and not somewhere that takes too long to fly to (we have young children being minded by family and don't want to be "trapped" if something goes wrong).
Budget isn't *really* an issue, once it's not mental.
(Mental being flights to Bora Bora are 16k... :pac: )

What about the Canaries? Flight is about 3 hours or so, it's always warm, there are some swanky spots and it's really quiet but nice restaurants.

Croatia is supposed to be beautiful and you should still get summer weather there.

Portugal, Greese or Criatia? Perhaps a bit of island hopping?

We did look at Greece alright but would prefer to avoid island hopping. Really want to stay in the same place and not have to stress about travel. We looked at that Tropical Islands place in Berlin but by all accounts its not a place to stay for more than 2 nights.

Sicily? Direct flights aren't that regular though.

Well myself and my OH are going to a place called Cascais, just north of Lisbon in September for a few days. Its cooler than the med as there is a breeze from the Atlantic but should still be able to sunbathe during the day.

We were also in a place called Cavtat just a bit outside of Dubrovnik previously that was great.

Both are up market towns with nice bars and restaurants and also close enough to the respective cities to go on day trips etc - we would both struggle to sunbathe non stop so a bit of culture is always welcome.

When in Europe, we tend to like to go for about 5-7 nights, but stay in 5* Places - both of those are very doable for about €800-€1000 per head for a week in September. I can send you the names of the hotels we've chosen if you want?

We're going to Sicily in October for ours and should still be warm(ish). Plan on moving to a couple of places but you could easily stay put. Good food, wine etc

    HEading to Italy in Sept

Couple of days in Rome and then to the East Coast and driving south along the coast - cheaper than up north.

If you haven't been then Italy is a winner. Whether you're heading north to Tuscany (Florence, Sienna and all teh villages) or down to the Amalfi coast.

Portugal is great also but limited food options - as in its fairly basic.

Croatia is also nice. HAve been to Dubrovnik, Cavtat (traveled south by boat) and both are very nice. Thought it was expensive for what I got there though.
