Help to fix a wall clock

    Hi experts,

    apologies as I know its normally watch-talk but a friend is looking to get a wall clock repaired. Needs a new movement. pic below. Any ideas for a fix.

    Hard to tell if you have a quartz or mechanical one there. I will assume mechanical.

    If you want to DIY it then you would need to find a donor movement. Plenty come up on ebay, you just need to be sure that what you buy will fit.

    If you want to go to a professional then expect to pay upwards of 200 for a donor movement and service.
    Alternative, find a hobbyist and hope for the best.

    Quartz. Got one from Ebay a while back but its not powerful enough to turn the existing hands. It came with its own set but they were tiny. Silly error on my part not checking the lengths before ordering:(
