Volkswagen Passat Radio Problem

I have a 2006 Volkswagen Passat B6 which the radio has now stopped working in.

I have owned the car <6 months and it has always been a bit "fuzzy" around my area and some radio stations could not be picked up, but now it's completely fuzzy and will not pick up any radio stations. It will play CD's no problem but that's it.

There is also an AUX port in the armrest but there's no indication of connecting it so it'll work?

What would be my best thing to do here. Would I be best off buying a new radio altogether or try repair what is wrong with my one?

Take radio out check connection to antenna.

There should be aux option on stereo.

Update on this - the aerial for the radio should've been along the rear window but as there was damage to that exact part of the car 8 years ago, this aerial was thrown down the side of the car, hence the poor signal. The garage got a new aerial & rewired it for me. Working perfect now.

Still no solution with the AUX. The port for it is in the armrest but I am still unable to connect it to the radio (no option on the radio for it).

We also have a b6 passat with factory navigation, I fitted an aux line and to access the it I press the cd button twice, this may work for your car

I have 02 Passat and the radio hasn't worked since I got it 4 months ago. Just white noise and occasional break into a station. 2 days ago it started working. I've just changed the lock module on the drivers side and after I finished putting the door card back on the radio stopped working again. Does anyone know if there is any link between the door electrics and the radio??
