Alcohol and boxing

I was just wondering, I'm doing boxing about 2 years now and I'm at the age where all my friends are drinking. I don't drink that much at all. It's just that the boxing season is over for the summer and was wondering would it be okay to drinking every 2/3 weeks during the summer with my mates or will it stop me from going far in boxing and doing well? Thanks

I don't know the answer to your question there Chickenwing47 ... but the title is intriguing. In fact I think you might be onto something. :p

"Alcohol and boxing" might be a winner, how exactly would it work? I guess you would have to drink a certain amount of booze before getting into the ring, so not alone would it be a test of your boxing skills it would also be test of your drinking ability too

The winner would be an all-round legend ...able to knock them back before knockin peoples blocks off, so-to-speak..and sure if you got beaten, it won't hurt anyway due to Alcohols handy anesthetic properties and you can always blame the drink !!!

auditions being held in chippers up and down the country every Saturday night

Nah boy. Gatt on and smash slags. Boxing should just be a side interest for you.
