Is it time people stopped using such simplistic terms as left and right?

    To describe political leanings? When they really mean someone who I disagree with? There seems to be an increasing trend towards painting some people into simplistic corners such as left or right. They have no definitive meaning in an argument. In my view if someone is uncaring about another they're not left or right they're simply a d1ck.

    It's the American way. Britain ("People in this country have had enough of experts" - Michael Gove) and Ireland usually follow.

    Totally agree. I have always had difficulty with left and right. When driving if am told to turn left I have no clue which way to turn. Pointing is the only way.

    Right and left is very important if you're conducting a crowd in a collective handwave. There's always a few eejits who don't get it though.
