So finally deciding to buy one of these palettes! (Yes I know, it took me a while!)
    But what to buy?!
Pippa one? So sue me one? Blank canvas master one? I'm a little confused!
Any recommendations? Brunette, sallow sink that's generally very pale though!
    Thanks very much.

I don't have either of them 3. But the first two are completely different. One is for contouring and the other for nearly all your makeup! So I guess it depends on what you want to use it for?
I can see the pippa palette being handy cos it has everything you need so would be perfect for going away for wend! Don't know what the quality is like have heard mixed reviews! That's the one I would buy if I was gonna get one! I think I'd get most use out of it, specially when your spending 30-40 quid you wanna get the most use out of it!

I've the Charlotte Tilbury one (instant look in a palette) and love it, just need that. Everything in the one place, just need foundation, mascara and lippy. It's a great size and can go from day to night with it.

The Boots 17 lip palette is just awesome! Love it. I have the eyeshadow palette also - not so great.

Are you looking for an eye palette or a face palette?

Good question! I thought they were an all-in-one type thing. Clearly not!!! I suppose face?
Many thanks for all replies. I feel so clueless!!!

So you're looking for a contour palette is it?

There's a few on the market that are good. If you're just starting out I'd go with the cheaper option. Sleek do a good one.

Depends on what you are looking for. The Pippa palette is eyes and face, the Sosu palette is for contouring and the Masters Series palette is just eyeshadows.

I have the Pippa palette, I like it although the blush and contour powders aren't as strongly pigmented as the eyeshadows so if you have sallow skin they mightn't show up on your skin.

Sosu palette doesn't interest me personally, I'm not into cream contouring.

I have the masters series 1 eyeshadow palette on me today actually, love the colours.

If you want a few palettes just to try out to see what you'd like or need, try Makeup Revolution. They are cheap, they do dupes of other branded makeup such as Urban Decay Palettes, Too Faced palettes etc. Maybe pick up a few of them, try them out and get an idea of what you like, need or would really use. You can get Makeup Revolution online, in Superdrug and in a few select pharmacies around the country.

Last time I bought from Urban Decay in Debenhams, I cheekily asked for samples (as I always do when buying make-up!) and they gave me a few wee booklets which basically contained palettes of all of their primers and makeup! Will post a photo of one of them if I can find them later, could be a good starting point to see what works and what you would actually use ... depending if they're still in stock there!
