The list of episodes shown here http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b06chqn8/episodes/guide are a bit of a mixture. The first, Japanese Painting is from Season 3 (2007), and the last, Buried Alive is from Season 4 (2010) and all the others in between are from Season 5 (2015). No idea if any of them have been shown before on BBC Four, but I'll watch them anyway.

It's a real nuisance them showing them out of order like that, as you lose continuity with the back stories.

oh No, what a nightmare, I love the series, only saw it for the first time earlier in the year... but again I have no idea if these ones coming up are repeats!

You have them in the wrong order. Buried Alive is the first episode that BBC4 showed last September. The Hospital Murders is the last episode shown last October.

The Japanese Painting is the episode that will be shown this Saturday and has never been on BBC4 before.

I don't know why BBC4 are showing them out of order but I suppose they some rationale. This is one bloggers opinion -
Episode one doesn’t really show a good relationship between Martin and Gunvald – rather two secular characters with not much of a relationship. The presumption that the BBC has taken is that the audience hasn’t seen series 1-4, meaning that the whole series is new and all the characters are being met for the first time. Unfortunately this means that the order of the episodes is wrong in reference to the transmission date of the original airing in Sweden. I think, in the long run, this is a good idea as episode two ‘room 302’ shows a much more positive working and personal relationship between the two characters.

    To clarify

The first episode of Beck that BBC4 showed (Sat 12 Sep 2015) was "Buried Alive" which was the second and last episode of Series 4.

They then went on to show all 4 episodes of Series 5 in order.

This Saturday they will show "The Japanese Painting" which is the fifth episode of series 3,

The following Saturday they will show "The Weak Link" which is the sixth episode of series 3.

    -

By the way - series 5 first aired on Swedish TV in 2015. Series 3 first aired on Swedish TV seven years earlier in 2007.

From the title in the Sky planner, Gunvald, It looks like next week's episode is the first of Season 6 that aired in Sweden earlier this year.

Oh thank you so much, I always need to check if it has been on before so that confirms it has not, excellent another one to look forward to. I love Beck.

I was really disappointed with the last series of Arne Dahl, they changed the team and it was not the same, could not get into it at all:(

Kristofer Hivju who played Tormund Giantsbane in Game of Thrones joined the cast this season.

Yes - both the next 2 episodes are new to BBC4.

(There are 4 episodes in total in season 6 of Beck so you might be enjoying new episodes for the next 4 Saturdays)

Beck takes a break on Saturday 24th.

BBC4 is allowing Keith Richards (The Rolling Stones) to choose all the programmes that weekend and he doesn't seem to a fan of Beck.

Beck is however back on Saturday 1st October.

Saturdays episode is "The Last Day".

It first aired on Swedish TV in April this year and is the last in the current series.

One of the corrupt cops from last Saturdays episode was Claes Ljungmark who was also in "Follow the Money" (Bedrag) a 10 part Danish crime thriller which starts on TG4 on Thursday 20th October.

Another four Beck films are being made it seems.
Transmission is pencilled in for streaming service C-More (home of Missing and Gåsmamman) in 2018, with a premiere to follow on linear channel TV4 later that year. It remains to be seen if it will be picked up again by BBC4, and when.

Series 7 debuted on Swedish TV on the first of January this year and now BBC4 are showing all four episodes starting tomorrow.

Although Beck retired at the end of the last series he decides to return to help the national Security Police investigate a suspected terrorist.

"Beck - Your Own Blood" starts at 9 pm.
