    Hi all

Would anyone be so kind to recommend a gutter cleaning service that operates in D18?

    Thanks in advance!

Might be an idea to post that request in the Dublin County South forum....

I got my gutters & soffit done last week by Roof Worx, and they were excellent:

You registered on boards this month and by an extraordinary coincidence you managed to stumble across a request for a service that you have just availed of so your very first post is to recommend them?

Why do they give a residential street with no house number for their southside address? And why are the northside and southside landline numbers the same?

And if anyone feels reassured by the fancy crest of the National Guild of Master Craftsmen on their website, you can judge the value of that for yourself from this thread, it's just a money-making racket to which anyone can sign up, about as useless as buying a car from a dealer because he has the SIMI sign up.

I have no firsthand knowledge of this company but endorsements from first-time posters should set off alarm bells be treated with extreme scepticism, especially when posted barely 24 hours after the initial enquiry.

Don't let anyone near your gutters with a pressure hose - the pressure from underneath dislodges the gutters and causes leaks.

Nobody has suggested that in this thread. And why would anyone blast the gutter from underneath with a pressure washer?

Genuinely - it just happened to be my first post.

I have nothing to do with those guys - they replaced my soffit & gutters last week. I don't care how legit you think their website is. They did my neighbour's house, they called in and asked if I wanted mine done too - I waited until my neighbour's was complete & he was happy, and then I took them up on their quote.

So calm down - genuine first post. OP can call someone else - I don't care. All I did was answer his question.

    What did they charge?

    OP on;y wants them cleaned!

As already stated, don't let anyone go near them with a power hose, only way is with the bucket, sponge and cloth for drying.

Uh oh this escalated quickly :)

Anyhow, thx for advice re: pressure - and yes, I need just 50ish yoyos 'simple' job on the front of the house (as it is overflowing just above the boiler outlet, causing water to splash in the outlet and doing damage to the boiler)...

Will try to post in the other forum as suggested.
