Cover after switching health insurance

    Hi guys,

I twisted my knee towards the end of January this year and started receiving treatment for this at the beginning of June as it was niggling (physio sessions) but I need to go for a scan now.
But.... I switched insurance providers mid way through February so I'm wondering will my new insurance company cover me as when they ask when I twisted my knee I would have been covered by another provider, will they consider this a pre-existing condition? Especially as I didn't get it seen to for a number of weeks. I'm fairly sure I'll be covered with the new crowd just want to double check.

    Cheers,

    P

Look at this link to the health insurance Authority website under "switching" http://www.hia.ie/frequently-asked-questions

If that does not answer your question talk to the HIA as they might be able to clarify it.

Thanks Nutley Boy, might give them a buzz tomorrow and see if they can clarify for me.
