Card provider's 3D Secure system

    e.g verified by visa, Mastercard Secure Code.

    What is folks opinion on this extra security.

    One uk site says since 2014 they are not being used much.

    By using VBV does this mean your giving up your right to be compensated for any fraudulant transactions as suggested on this thread started today in Talk to AIB

    It's a nuisance more than anything.

    It can also make ordering a drunk Dominos all the more difficult.

    I have no issue with it at all, and I genuinely fail to see why people have so much ire with it. It's just one more password in the big long string of passwords we have to remember everyday.

    There is the risk, of course, that using your password to approve a transaction, similar to using your PIN, means that your provider might attempt to transfer liability for any fraudulent transactions to you.
